1. Introduction
Metasis Media ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you visit metasismedia.com, register for our services, or communicate with us by phone, text message, or email.
By using our website or services, or by providing your phone number to us, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect, use, store, and transfer the following categories of personal data about you:
- Identity Data — first name, last name, username, business name, or similar identifier.
- Contact Data — email address, mailing address, and telephone number (including mobile numbers used for SMS and voice communications).
- Account Data — registration details, login credentials, communication preferences, and consent records (including the date, time, and method of any opt-in to SMS or voice communications).
- Communications Data — the content of SMS messages, voice call metadata (such as date, time, duration, and phone number), and any messages or correspondence you send to us.
- Technical Data — IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, device identifiers, and platform.
- Usage Data — information about how you use our website, products, and services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data only when the law allows us to, including to perform a contract with you, pursue our legitimate business interests, comply with legal obligations, or where you have provided consent. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our services;
- Send you transactional and operational messages, including appointment reminders, confirmations, account notifications, and customer service replies;
- Send you marketing or promotional messages, but only where you have expressly opted in to receive them;
- Send authentication codes, verification messages, and other security-related communications;
- Engage in two-way conversational support relating to your inquiries or account;
- Place outbound voice calls to you in connection with the services you have registered for;
- Improve our website, products, and services; and
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Program
We use Twilio Inc. as our communications service provider to send and receive SMS and MMS messages on our behalf.
Consent. We send SMS messages only to individuals who have registered for our services and expressly opted in to receive text messages from us. We do not engage in unsolicited or "cold" SMS outreach. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Types of messages you may receive. Once you opt in, you may receive transactional messages (such as appointment reminders, confirmations, and account notifications), authentication and one-time passcodes, conversational customer support, and — only if you have separately opted in — marketing or promotional messages.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our services and the message types you have opted into.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. We are not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.
How to opt out. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message you receive from us; or
- Updating your communication preferences within your account in our app.
After you opt out, you will receive a final confirmation message and we will stop sending you SMS messages, except where required for transactional purposes that you remain enrolled in. You can resume messages at any time by replying START or re-enabling messaging in the app.
Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at privacy@metasismedia.com.
Supported carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the availability of your mobile carrier's network.
No sharing of mobile information for marketing. No mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that support our services (such as Twilio for message delivery and customer service providers) is permitted solely for the purpose of providing the services you have registered for. All other use of mobile information excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, and that information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Voice / Telephone Communications
We may place outbound voice calls to telephone numbers provided by registered users in connection with the services they have signed up for, including support, account verification, and operational matters. We use Twilio to facilitate these calls.
We do not record or transcribe voice calls. We retain only basic call metadata (such as the originating and destination phone numbers, date, time, and duration) for service operation, troubleshooting, and compliance purposes.
You may opt out of non-essential voice communications at any time by contacting us at privacy@metasismedia.com or by updating your preferences in the app.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We share personal data with trusted third-party service providers only to the extent necessary to operate our services. These include:
- Twilio Inc. — for the delivery of SMS, MMS, and voice communications. Twilio processes phone numbers, message content, and call metadata on our behalf as a data processor. Twilio's privacy practices are governed by its own privacy notice, available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Hosting, analytics, and email providers — for the operation of our website and the delivery of email communications.
We require all third-party service providers to maintain the security and confidentiality of your personal data and to process it only for the purposes we specify.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and to maintain records of consent for SMS and voice communications.
8. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered, or disclosed without authorization. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent at any time. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@metasismedia.com.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the services or by email where appropriate.
